To upload an article to Open SIUC, go to the main page at opensiuc.lib.siu.edu
Be sure you have created an account and are logged in. Once you're logged in:
1. Click "Submit Research" from the left side of the page under the header "Author Corner"
2. Choose your department by scrolling through the page that appears or select "Disciplines" for a more concise view of all available departments
3. After choosing the category that represents your department and publication type, you will need to check to agree to the terms of submission.
After agreeing to the terms, you will need to enter all the relevant data about your article.
1. Add your title using Headline Style Capitalization
2. Add all authors that are listed on the article itself. By clicking the little person with the pencil, you can add emails, edit names, and add an institution (we only require SIU affiliations to be recorded).
3. Please also include an accurate publication date (the date the article is to appear in the journal).
5.-11. Please add any and all data available in regard to article keywords, abstract, journal title, volume, issue, page numbers and DOI.
12. Please be sure to add the embargo period (if one exists) as indicated by the publisher of your article.
13. Upload the file of the article (with the SIUC cover page preceding the article within the same document).
14. Click submit to send your article to review.
