Mobile Web Resources for SIUSM users

  • Clinical Pharmacology
    To get started request an access code from reference@siumed.edu and follow the directions provided.
  • EbscoHost Mobile
    EbscoHost Mobile has a remote access user name/password for SIUSM users only. Call Reference at 217-545-2113.
  • Essential Evidence Plus
    Users must set up an account by going through the link provided above. Once a user name and password is established you can login on your mobile device
  • Harrison's Online
    Requires a user created user name and password. Go to Access Medicine using the link above and then click the" My AccessMedicine" button on the upper right to create your user name and password.
  • MDConsult
    Users must first set up an account: Go to MDConsult at the link provided above, then select "Create an Account" at top right. Once the account is set up, go to http://m.mdconsult.com on your mobile device.
  • Web of Knowledge
    Requires a user created user name and password.

    • AIDSinfo Mobile
      The latest federally approved HIV/AIDS medical practice guidelines, HIV treatment and prevention clinical trials, and other research information.
    • DailyMed
      Provides high quality information about marketed drugs, including FDA labels (package inserts).
    • MedlinePlus Mobile
      Authoritative consumer health information. This mobile-optimized Web site includes summaries for over 800 diseases, conditions and wellness topics as well as the latest health news, an illustrated medical encyclopedia, and information on prescription and over-the-counter medications. Available via the Web browser of any mobile device.
    • PubMed for Handhelds
      A Web site for searching MEDLINE® with the Web browser of any mobile device.
    • PubMed Mobile Beta
      Provides a simplified, mobile-friendly Web interface to access PubMed. PubMed contains millions of article citations from thousands of biomedical journals. Many citations include abstracts.
    • Shots by STFM
      Mobile optimized site produced by the Society for Teachers of Family Medicine. Has the CDC's immunization schedules for children and adults.
